Survey: small businesses post better growth prospects
CHINA small and micro businesses posted better growth prospects with improving confidence among business owners, a new industry survey showed today.
The index tracking the growth prospects of China's small and micro enterprises in the first half of 2012 grew to 102.86 from the benchmark of 100 in the second half of last year, according to the joint survey made by the Bank of Communications and Fudan University.
The survey covered small business owners in 21 mainland cities.
Sub indices tracking efficiency and confidence also improved, suggesting less operating risk of small and micro businesses.
But the survey showed rising material prices and labor costs still hinder the development of small businesses.
