TNT looks for more corporate-academic collaborations
TNT, the leading Sino-Europe International Express Company, has entered into a three-year partnership with the China's longest running, largest and top-rated business school, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). The two entities hosted an exclusive seminar to discuss the critical role that a company's corporate culture plays in driving positive and sustainable business performance. Under the TNT-CEIBS Partnership Agreement, both organizations have pledged to provide training to TNT's senior executives and more importantly, to support the overall development of the Chinese business landscape through the exchange of knowledge and best-practices.

Q1: As the managing director, what do you think of this partnership with CEIBS?
Our partnership with CEIBS is a further demonstration of TNT's commitment towards investing in our people and equipping them with industry-leading professional training and skills to not only become excellent employees, but to also contribute to the development of China's logistics industry. TNT's "Investor in People" philosophies and our "Sure we can" corporate culture has been a critical growth engine to secure TNT's successes in China. As a company deeply rooted in China, we want to leverage on our partnership with CEIBS to share our experiences and best-practices with the industry in China.
Q2: What was the agreement about?
According to the agreement, besides the provision of professional and management training to our senior executives, TNT will also tap on CEIBS' strong talent pool when we are recruiting trained graduates. In addition, our strong Sino-Europe distribution network, will serve as CEIBS' sole international express provider. Most importantly, the TNT-CEIBS Partnership Agreement supports the overall development of the Chinese business landscape through the exchange of knowledge and best-practices through the strengthening of the collaboration between the corporate and academic world.

As the global economy emerges from the shadows of one of the worst financial crisis in history, business leaders and experts have increasingly recognized that ensuring an effective and differentiated corporate culture is a fundamental driver for long-term, sustainable business performance. This engaging and meaningful seminar aims to combine academic research, with TNT's real-life case study to discuss and explore the business impact of having a distinctive corporate culture within successful organizations in China. At the seminar, discussion centered on the critical role that a company's corporate culture plays in driving positive and sustainable business performance.
Q4: TNT has been known for its excellent customer service. How was this achieved?
Since our entry into the market more than 20 years ago, TNT China's management mission has been defined by its focus on delivering an excellent customer experience through continuously investing in the training of our people. We firmly believe that only the best trained employees will be able to provide our customers with an excellent customer experience. Recently, we launched our "Sure we can" campaign, which captures the company's "can do" mentality and flexible and personal attitude towards getting things done, whether it is for a customer, a fellow colleague or the community at large. We have made it a point to link "Sure we can" closely to our company's core values and exemplifying it through our employees' personal stories at work. This will ensure that our employees understand exactly how they can better provide a good service to customers and what we expect of them as they carry out their day-to-day duties.
