THE yuan became the 13th most used currency for international payments, surpassing the rouble and Danish krone, boosted by payments made through Singapore and London, a private report showed yesterday.
Cross-border yuan payments through Singapore rose 30 percent monthly in January. Payments through London grew even faster, at 40 percent, keeping the city as the top center for international yuan flows, Standard Chartered Bank said in the report yesterday.
