THE Chinese mainland is eying a bank for yuan settlements in Taiwan, Wang Huaqing, discipline head of the People's Bank of China, said in Taipei yesterday, adding that building a currency settlement mechanism across the Taiwan Strait will take time and banks' willingness will have to be considered.
