Yuan trades at nearly 6-week low
THE yuan traded near a six-week low of 6.3270 yuan per dollar yesterday as the currency continued its downward trend.
The People's Bank of China set the yuan's daily fixing at 6.3259 per dollar yesterday, 0.04 percent stronger than on Monday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System. The PBOC weakened the yuan by 0.33 percent on Monday, the most since August 2010. The yuan can move 0.5 percent on either side of the daily fixing.
