THE first generator at the Ningde Nuclear Power Station in Fujian Province started yesterday. The generator has an installed capacity of 1.09 million kilowatts, the same as the plant's three other generators, which are still being built.
The operation of the generator will lift Fujian's use of clean energy from 42.56 percent to 45.32 percent, said Huang Wenying, deputy chief engineer of the State Grid's Fujian branch.
