CHINA'S southern and eastern provinces may increase consumption of coal by about 33 percent by 2020, Alex Green, vice president for energy marketing at BHP Billiton, said yesterday.
The coastal provinces may use more than 1 billion tons of coal by 2020, compared with 750 million tons today, Green said at the Coaltrans Asia conference in Bali, Indonesia.
