CHINA National Offshore Oil Corp has signed a production sharing deal with Primeline, an independent oil and gas firm, for a block in the East China Sea, listed unit CNOOC Ltd said.
The Block 33/07, located about 390 kilometers off Shanghai, covers 5,877 square kilometers with water depth of 90 meters. Primeline will conduct 3D seismic data survey and drill exploration wells and CNOOC has the right to participate in up to 51 percent interest in any commercial discoveries.
This is the fourth such contract signed between them.
