Eaton Corp opens energy efficiency lab in city

DIVERSIFIED industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp yesterday opened a new laboratory in Shanghai to drive development of energy efficient power management technologies for the local market.
The facility, located in the US company's Asia Pacific headquarters, will develop technologies and solutions such as next generation power converters and electrical vehicle charging technology.
The lab covers more than 300 square meters. Vice President Chris Roche said the lab will help Eaton gain access to local technology and talent, and will collaborate with the company's other global innovation centers.
