Growth outlook for demand cut
THE International Energy Agency cut its forecast for growth in China's oil-product demand this year as the world's second-biggest economy slows.
Consumption may rise 4.3 percent, down from the 5.2 percent growth predicted in December, the Paris-based IEA said in its monthly market report yesterday. The outlook reflects a forecast easing in the nation's economic growth to 9 percent this year from 9.5 percent and a lower baseline this quarter, it said.
