Henkel Q3 net income falls 68 pct
GERMAN consumer goods company Henkel AG said today its third quarter net income fell 68 percent, due mainly to lower revenue and a divestment in the year-ago quarter.
Henkel, based in Duesseldorf, said net income fell to €6 million (US$9 million) from €19 million in the July-September period of 2008.
Revenue for the third quarter fell more than 7 percent to €3.5 billion from €3.8 billion in the third quarter a year ago, led by order declines from large customers in its adhesives division.
