THE Ministry of Commerce yesterday announced the first batch of rare earth export quotas for 2012, totaling 10,546 tons.
Eleven companies will share the quotas, including seven rare earth producers and four distribution firms, according to a statement on the ministry's website.
Next year's rare earth quotas will remain unchanged from 2011 to guarantee international market demand and maintain a stable supply of rare earth, the ministry said.
