Rise in output
CHINA National Petroleum Corp's overseas oil and gas production rose 3.5 percent to 50.52 million tons of oil equivalent in the first half of this year, according to a company newsletter.
Overseas equity oil and gas production, or its share of output from overseas projects, gained 4.6 percent on an annual basis to 25.3 million tons in the first six months.
Production at Iraq's Rumaila oilfield totaled 12.06 million tons in the first half, 1.93 million tons over the target, CNPC said. Projects in other countries, including Venezuela, Oman and Kazakhstan, also exceeded targets, it said.
