Rubber plant
GERMAN specialty chemicals maker Lanxess and Taiwan's TSRC Corp yesterday said they will build an equally-owned US$50 million plant in China for nitrile rubber, which is applied in autos, construction, footwear, cable and plastics.
The plant, in Nantong, will have an initial capacity of 30,000 tons a year. Ground breaking is set for September this year, and production is due to start in the first half of 2012.
