Steady growth
CHINA'S electricity consumption maintained its steady growth last year, up 14.56 percent on an annual basis to more than 4.19 trillion kilowatt-hours, the China Electricity Council said yesterday.
The electricity consumption growth was 8.12 percentage points higher than the previous year, the council said in a statement.
Investment in China's electricity industry dropped 8.45 percent from a year earlier to 705.1 billion yuan (US$107 billion) in 2010.
