Windmill farms
GD Power Development Co yesterday said its Shandong New Energy unit has won approval to build two windmill farms of 200 megawatts each in Shandong Province.
The company also said its Qingsong and Shengli wind farms in Linghai, Liaoning Province have been registered with the United Nations' Clean Development Mechanism, under which companies can invest in approved clean-energy projects in emerging economies, and in return receive offset credits.
GD Power said the two farms will receive 18 million yuan (US$2.7 million) annually under the mechanism.
