AXA Tianping teams up with CCTV to sponsor World Cup 2014 program

AXA Tianping Property & Casualty Insurance Company Limited has teamed up with China Central Television to sponsor the country's most popular sports program for the World Cup 2014. The move underlines the brand's ambition in the marketplace to help drive broad awareness among its target demographic.

Following its formal establishment earlier this year, AXA Tianping is undergoing a transformation of its business model to capitalize on online direct motor insurance sales, launching new e-commerce and mobile channels.

The largest foreign capital property & casualty insurance company in China, the company was established through a merger between Tian Ping Auto Insurance Company Limited, the first insurance company to specialize in providing motor insurance within China, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the world's largest insurance group, the France based AXA Group.

Headquartered in Shanghai, the company has registered capital of 846 million yuan (US$101.9million) and will focus on developing its property & casualty presence, including motor insurance and non-motor retail insurance.
