Abu Dhabi National Bank opens Shanghai office

THE National Bank of Abu Dhabi, one of the largest banks in the United Arab Emirates, opened a representative office in Shanghai today to provide consulting services to Chinese entrepreneurs who want to do business in Arab countries.
The Shanghai office, together with the Hong Kong office established in 2009, will serve as a gateway to the Emirates, the Middle East and North Africa for Chinese businesses, the bank said in a statement today.
"Asian markets, especially China, have a vital strategic importance to our global operations. We are positioned to capture trade and investment flows between the UAE and the MENA region with China," a spokesman for the bank said.
