CONFIDENCE among Chinese bankcard holders grew for the second month in November as the domestic economic situation stabilized.
The Bankcard Consumer Confidence Index in November rose 0.17 from that of October to 86.63, according a report released yesterday by China UnionPay, the country's sole bankcard transaction firm. Bankcard owners' expenses at supermarkets dropped 6.53 percent from a month ago while spending at air tickets and travel agencies rose 13.16 percent as business activities grew.
