Bourse link lifts shares
SHANGHAI stocks yesterday rose for the second day, helped by brokerages which gained on prospects that a link between the Shanghai and London exchanges may be set up.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.9 percent to 3,195 points.
Brokerages rallied after British finance minister George Osborne said at a briefing that the Shanghai-London stock link proposal will be discussed at the next round of annual talks between China and UK.
Sinolink Securities rose 4.2 percent to 12.68 yuan (US$1.99).
