Bribery charge

A senior executive of the China Galaxy Securities Co was charged with bribery of 11 million yuan (US$1.66 million), which was heard by a court in Beijing yesterday.

Wang Changlin, former managing director of the investment division of the broker, was charged with accepting bribes as "commission fees" from January 2002 to April 2004. Wang denied the charge in the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate Court yesterday.
