Chen Yin appointed party secretary of Shanghai FTZ

CHEN Yin has been appointed as party secretary and executive deputy director of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration, according to an updated official list on the zone’s website.

Chen was also appointed deputy secretary-general of Shanghai Municipal Government, according to a statement dated December 5 on the government’s website.

Chen, 52, is in charge of the zone’s day-to-day operation. The post has been vacant since Dai Haibo’s departure in a personnel reshuffle in September.

Prior to this occupation Chen served as party secretary of Yangpu District from 2010. He was head and deputy party secretary of Xuhui District between 2007 and 2010.
