Deutsche Bank hires Goldstein as global head of yuan services

Deutsche Bank announced the appointment of Evan Goldstein as global head of yuan services, the bank said in an e-mailed announcement today.

Goldstein will carry out this newly created role from Hong Kong. It includes managing the growth of yuan-related activities across the bank's global network.

“We have seen a surge in demand from our clients for yuan services, which we see as critical to our continued success both as a leading foreign exchange institution and as a trusted corporate banking partner. We are pleased that Evan will be bringing his unique breadth and depth of experience to this new role,” said Michael Ormaechea, co-head of corporate banking and securities for Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank.

Prior to joining the Germany-based bank, Goldstein was managing director, head of product management for financial institutions at Standard Chartered Bank for Asia. He previously spent 13 years at JPMorgan in a number of strategic and product development roles.
