Ernst & Young plans to increase China workforce by about 3,000

ERNST & Young expects its consulting services will remain the quickest growing sector among the firm's businesses in China.

"Auditing remains the biggest sector for our firm but we are exploring expanding faster in other areas such as consulting and services for mergers and acquisitions. Consulting is growing at the quickest pace," said Michael Huang, People Leader for Ernst & Young in China. "We will continue to recruit to power business growth in the consulting area."

EY has started campus recruitment that will eventually add about 2,000 headcount for its operations in China. Additionally, the firm also planned to hire more than 1,000 experienced workers next year.
