Foreign interest in FTZ

Foreign companies have shown interest in Shanghai’s free trade zone, ministry spokesman Shen Danyang insisted yesterday. He said 58 had registered by the end of November.
“Some people have the wrong impression foreign companies are not very active while domestic companies are overwhelmingly enthusiastic,” Shen said.
Foreign companies are seriously interested in the zone, with strong investment intention, he said.
