Grand Thornton opens office in Shanghai FTZ

GRANT Thornton, a global audit firm, today announced the opening of its office in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, to tap booming business opportunities in the zone.
The office provides a full range of services including auditing, customs, tax, finance and accounting, and consultancy, the firm said in a statement.
The firm aims to build closer relationships between clients and the government with new presence in the zone.
Taking advantages of financial reforms in the zone, Grant Thornton said it could cooperate with domestic and foreign banks to support its international businesses.
Grant Thornton China has 20 offices in the mainland and Hong Kong. Currently, Deloitte is the only among the “Big Four” audit firms with an office in the free trade zone.
