High-flying ex-AMC exec forms capital firm

A CAPITAL management company dealing in private equity has been set up by a former manager of China AMC, the country's biggest mutual fund company, who made his reputation by achieving high returns on equity investment.
Wang Yawei formed the Shenzhen Qianhe Capital Management Co with a registered capital of 10 million yuan (US$1.6 million) in late September. He is the general manager and executive director of the company which operates in entrusted assets management, equity investment and investment management.
During his more than six years of management, China AMC Large Cap Select Fund achieved a total return of 1,198.91 percent and was recognized as the best-performing China-based fund.
