CHINA will encourage the use of integrated circuit bank card as it seeks a safer e-payment method, the People's Bank of China said in a statement on its website yesterday.
Bankcards issued in affluent cities or cards issued in cooperation with certain key sectors should all be IC cards from January 1, 2015, the central bank said.
