Indiana seeks capital
INDIANA Governor Mike Pence said in Shanghai yesterday that the US state is good for businesses such as manufacturing, agriculture and life sciences as he welcomes more Chinese investors and traders.
“Indiana has strength in doing business as it has a big government fiscal surplus to support growth, a competitive tax regime, and a deep pool of smart, hard-working people,” Pence said.
Indiana is among the top five most business-friendly states in the US.
Pence is leading a business delegation comprising executives of finance, information technology, healthcare, legal, sports, venture capital and pharmaceutical companies on a visit to Shanghai, his last stop in his first trip to China.
He had visited Beijing and Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province before arriving in Shanghai.
