CHINA’S lottery sales rose 7 percent year on year to 34.9 billion yuan (US$5.3 billion) in April, the Ministry of Finance said yesterday.
Welfare lottery sales fell 0.8 percent to 17.95 billion yuan, while sports lottery sales rose 16.6 percent to 16.9 billion yuan, it said.
Sales in the first four months rose 1.4 percent to 125.7 billion yuan.
