M&A deals
ASIA is set for a resurgence in merger and acquisition deals this year as more private equities are seeking exits and Asian companies are eyeing to buy assets in Europe, insurance broker and risk management company Marsh said in a report yesterday.
The growth is mainly driven by increased deals among Southeast Asian countries, outbound M&A activities from China and Japan, and Chinese state-owned companies seeking to buy foreign manufacturing firms.
