MOUs inked to cement business ties
TWO Australian companies signed memorandum of understanding with Chinese firms yesterday to cement business ties during the visit of Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, according to the Australian Business Chamber.
Nova Spring Water Co signed a MOU with China’s retailer T3C, which has more than 500 outlets in the Chinese mainland, to help the pure water producer distribute its products in China. The other was inked between Phoenix International Exports, an Australian dairy products maker, and Shanghai International Port (Group) Co, to improve the logistics of milk and related products from Australia.
The two MOUs were part of the chamber’s program to help small and medium-sized Australian firms enter the Chinese market. More than 100 companies have joined the program, which managed to match 60 Chinese buyers with Australian firms in the past half year.
