Male staff prefer female management
More women in management positions are better recognized by male employees than female staff, an online recruitment firm’s survey said yesterday.
51job.com found 80 percent of respondents said they have female bosses, 11.7 percentage points higher than last year. The survey, which collects questionnaires from 3,691 web users, found 16.6 percent of female respondents didn’t like their lady bosses, twice the percentage among male respondents.
“Women are more active in meeting business challenges,” the report said. “Amiable and hardworking’’ women bosses are most welcomed by female and male staff, followed by “mild and wise” managers among female staff and “acute and capable” among male employees.
