Managing inventory huge task

INVENTORY management is the biggest challenge retailers face on their working capital, 85 percent of respondents said in a joint survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers and China Chain Store & Franchise Association.
“A lack of forecasting mechanisms or low predictive accuracy are the main causes of difficulty in inventory management,” said Kevin Wang, PwC China Retail and Consumer Leader.
The survey was based on public data from 86 mainland or Hong Kong-listed retailers and interviews and questionnaire of executives of some of the top 100 retail chain operators in China.
