Ministry to cut red tape
THE Ministry of Commerce is considering cutting administrative approval requirements for foreign investments nationwide based on trials being carried out in Shanghai’s free trade zone.
Wang Shouwen, assistant to Minister of Commerce, said the ministry is working with Shanghai authorities to conclude experience from the FTZ trial that mainly use a registration system in managing foreign investment. The ministry is studying possibilities to expand the trial nationwide as part of China’s efforts to improve environment for foreign investment, Wang said.
