Over 50% upbeat over stocks outlook
MORE than half of A-share investors are upbeat about the outlook for China's stock market in 2013 although 60 percent lost money this year, according to an online survey done earlier this month by the China Securities Journal and Sohu.com.
The survey showed that 52.26 percent of the respondents are optimistic the stock market will rise next year, while 13.22 percent expect a decline, and the remainder said the market will be neutral.
Around 35.14 percent of the respondents said they will raise investment in the stock market next year while 14.28 percent will reduce holdings.
The survey said 59.81 percent of the respondents suffered stock losses this year and 17.4 percent lost over 50 percent. Only 28.17 percent profited from stocks in 2012.
