QFIIs Lift Stock Investments
LICENSED foreign mutual funds on the Chinese mainland have increased their investments in stocks to an average of nearly 90 percent of their total capital, with cyclical stocks getting the most attention.
The qualified foreign institutional investors raised their capital in equities by 1.43 percent to an average of 88.53 percent from February 21 to March 4, said Wu Xianxing, a Haitong Securities analyst, quoting data.
They favored injecting funds in cyclical stocks, such as commodities, banks and coal miners, the Shanghai Securities News said yesterday.
