THE Bank of China, China's biggest foreign exchange lender, will soon start operation of its Shanghai headquarters.
China's big-four banks, including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China and the China Construction Bank, are all based in Beijing and plan second headquarters in Shanghai due to the city's growing clout in the financial industry. The People's Bank of China has already set up its Shanghai headquarters to better supervise the sector.
