BNP Paribas Investment Partners, the asset management arm of BNP Paribas, has opened an investment advisory firm in the Shanghai free trade zone.
Operating under the Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise structure, BNP Paribas Investment Advisory (Shanghai) Co will provide services to institutional investors. The French bank is banking on the new company to seize opportunities offered from the liberalization of the yuan and China’s economic and financial integration with the global financial system.
