Techs pull bourse into black again
SHANGHAI stocks rallied yesterday after Wednesday’s slump, boosted by the strong performance of technology shares. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.83 percent to close at 2,794.38 points.
Computer shares led the gains, with Fujian Start Group Co and China National Software & Service Company surging the daily limit of 10 percent.
Electronic components stocks such as Zhejiang Tony Electronic Co, San’an Optoeletronics Co and Jiangsu Pacific Quartz Co rose about 5 percent. Pharmaceutical companies Joinn Laboratories Co and Autobio Diagnostics Co also gained the maximum 10 percent.
