UBS opens a business campus in Shanghai
A campus of the UBS Business University was opened yesterday in Shanghai in a bid to support the rising demand for financial talents to support the company’s business growth in China.
Located in Lujiazui, the campus will offer training to employees new to the firm and the industry, as well as on-going professional development to existing staff.
"The opening of a campus in Shanghai reinforces our commitment to China and will help support our expansion plans in the country. We plan to double headcount in China by 2020, so demand for high-quality development and training programs can be expected to grow substantially," said Eugene Qian, UBS Group China Country Head & President.
It’s UBS’s third training facility in Asia as the university also has campuses Singapore and Hong Kong. It plans to open a campus in Beijing by early 2017.
