AUSTRIA-BASED printed circuit board (PCB) vendor AT&S said yesterday that its new Chongqing plant would start production at the beginning of next year.
PCB is widely used in consumer electronics including mobile phones, smart manufacturing and wearable computing devices. AT&S will produce high-end PCBs in the 196-million-euro (US$213 million) Chongqing plant. The total investment in the plant will be US$624 million by 2017.
