Apple, IBM Are Now Top Two
INTERNATIONAL Business Machines edged past old rival Microsoft Corp in market value for the first time since April 1996, the latest twist in the world's two most storied technology companies.
Microsoft is now the third-largest United States tech company by market value, after Apple Inc roared past a year ago to take first place. Apple's market value stood at US$309.2 billion on Monday, IBM at US$203.8 billion and Microsoft at US$203.7 billion.
