Audio firms sound out quality devices at CES
WIRELESS connection and waterproof feature are increasingly built into portable audio devices because more people want to listen to high-quality music using their smartphones.
Teufel, a German audio device brand with a history of 35 years focusing on home theater system, has recently launched a sub-brand Raumfeld targeting young consumers. Their products offer headsets and portable speakers with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and professional sound effects.
With added features like Wi-Fi, sound quality should always be the No. 1 focus for audio device makers, Edgar van Velzen, chief executive of Teufel, said yesterday at the CES Asia 2016 show.
Teufel cooperates with China’s top online stores to offer the products online. It’s also in talks with Chinese smartphone brands like Vivo to cooperate on offering users better sound quality.
US-based audio brand Monster also displayed a waterproof Bluetooth speaker during CES Asia, which allows users to play music and take part in phone conferences while lazing in a swimming pool, tub or shower.
Nowall, a China-based startup, showed off high-end Bluetooth headphones with Hi-Fi level sound quality, instead of limited sound quality only capable of answering calls like most other Bluetooth headphones.
Its Nowall CH1 model is seeking crowdfunding on kickstarter.com, and the device will be available in the market soon.
