CHINA'S largest search site Baidu said it has invested US$306 million to become the largest shareholder in Qunar.com, an online search portal for travel information.
Qunar, founded in early 2005, offers real-time prices on air tickets, hotels, train tickets and other basic travel services. It had raised US$27 million from GGV Capital, Mayfield Fund, GSR Ventures and Teneya Capital.
