Boston Scientific opens advancing science, innovation centers in Shanghai

MEDICAL technology company Boston Scientific Corp today opened the China branch of the Boston Scientific Institute for Advancing Science and a new Innovation Center in Shanghai's Huangpu District to foster local talent and develop innovative technologies to be used in the Chinese market.
The institute for advancing science is expected to offer Chinese medical training programs that are intended to raise awareness of the latest industry trends as well as knowledge of innovative technologies.
Over the next five years, Boston Scientific will continue investing in China and seek out extensive cooperation opportunities with Chinese partners.
The company has been stepping up investment in infrastructure, product development, professional education and nurturing talent since setting up its wholly owned subsidiary in Shanghai in 1997.
