China Revenue Increases Sixfold
APPLE Inc reported yesterday its China market revenue grew six times in its fiscal third quarter ended on June 30, thanks to booming sales of iPhones and iPads.
In the second quarter, Apple's revenue in China was US$3.8 billion, six times more than from the same period in the previous year. During the quarter, Apple's iPhone sales in China increased five times.
On the Chinese mainland, Apple now operates four retail stores - two in Beijing and two in Shanghai.
