CHINA Telecom and the government of Shanghai's Changning District yesterday said they will jointly improve broadband speed by 50 times to 100 megabits per second in every family home in the district within two years.
An industry report had previously claimed that Shanghai has the slowest Internet on the Chinese mainland. Shanghai Telecom has a total of 3.92 million broadband family users.
