Cloud formation

MICROSOFT Corp is to set up a cloud computing center in Shanghai, which is expected to boost the city's ambition to establish a leading cloud computing industry nationwide.

The Microsoft China Cloud Innovation Center will help build a healthy IT ecosystem in collaboration with the government, customers and partners in China, said Bob Muglia, president of the Server and Tools Business division at Microsoft.

The Microsoft's new center will help Shanghai achieve the strategic objectives of promoting the cloud computing industry, said Shao Zhiqing, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
