COMPAL Electronics Inc, a major world contract maker of laptops, has signed an agreement to build a production base in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, local authorities said yesterday.
Zhang Yongqing, CEO of Compal Electronics, said the plant will have a capacity of 10 million laptops annually by 2015.
